Lately I haven't done much showing off of anything but jewellery, but that is about the change!!
Enter please....(drumroll)....the world famous 5 minute mug cake!!
A friend sent me a link to this on facebook a while back but today I felt in need of some chocolate and decided to give it a go!!
Here it is fresh out of the ov...microwave!!
I'm not entirely sure you can tell how unbelievably huge that mug is?! If any of you have ever been to Disney and bought one of these, I'm sure you know there is about a pint of cake in there!
I've also taken a picture of it once I turned it out :D....It didn't quite make it though! So I had to fish out the other half!
Please note this cake is purely functional! It is only there to satisfy a chocolate craving and is not meant to be pretty! That black slickish stuff you might see is the extra helping of chocolate syrup I decided to slather it with for extra tastiness!!
Give it a go yourself!
(I'm actually a really good cook and normally spend ages in the kitchen cooking up a masterpiece, but this was just too handy a cake recipe for me to not try! Pretty yummy it was too!)
This looks fabuyummylous!

I love this sponge recipe, i make it for my kids too. The other day i wanted a bigger one so i made it in a pyrex bowl then made a chocolate sauce to pour over it. Scrummy!!
ReplyDeleteoooh that sounds yummy minky! The next time I have a craving I'll make sure I have some cream and make a sauce too (getting every so slightly fatter at the thought of it!!)
ReplyDeleteOooooh that looks like just what I need to satisfy my choc craving right now... :p

ReplyDeleteMMMMM - yes I've tried this too and it is really tasty and marvellous for when you need a quick choc-fix! Good plan putting extra sauce on top.
